Last month I received a really sweet email from Kelsey who explained to me that her family regularly vacations in Laguna Beach every year and that she was hoping to have her Senior portraits done while here July this year. Praise God for the internet, which brought her to FLY... all the way from Kansas! And as it turns out, Kelsey and her family are absolutely charming, wonderful, loving people and we had a wonderful time together! Sort of like a blind date win if you will!
My little Kansas Kelsey, her mother Julie, and future photographer little sis Kara and I, all met up at Bree's in Brea and then began our journey south to Laguna. Kelsey was a dream to photograph. I mean, seriously, 5'10", gorgeous, playful and brave. It doesn't get any better then that. Kelsey was willing to try absolutely anything, and we just had a real fun time chatting, and playing with light and poses and her crazy stringy skirt. We walked the streets of Laguna and stopped whenever either of us felt inspired.
We ended our day in the heart of Laguna Beach, on the water, as the sun was setting. It really was a pretty epic way to wrap. Kelsey was so cool about experimenting, and was up for anything.. even getting completely wet! She climbed rocks, sat in the sand, and just smiled up at me with that awesome smile, and those gorgeous blue eyes! What a doll, and such a sweet and kind girl!
To the Kansas "C" Crew.. every blessing this next year. And Kelsey, I hope you enjoy every single minute of your last high school year... {I still maintain you'll have the best Senior pix of the class}!!! Hugs and Blessings your way new friends!
