Ok, how adorable is Caitlin?! So so gorgeous, cute and a little bit sassy… LOVE! After a visit with Bree at The Grand for some gorgeous hair and makeup, we were off to our first shoot location in Irvine Park. Caitlin and I had discussed something more natural for her Senior portraits, and I had yet to photograph in Irvine Park BUT alas… I knew it would be perfect for this soft and sweet Senior! Once we arrived, the sun was bright and beautiful, and the park was deserted, and we just explored and did a bit of drive by shooting. That’s right… drive a little, stop and shoot a little, then drive a little…. I loved how Caitlin photographed up against the browns and greens of this beautiful park, and then… {as if our day couldn’t get any more awesome} a huge group of wild peacocks came strolling past us. Not joking. Their colors were so so pretty and Caitlin and I both jumped to get some shots next to them. {Sidenote: Notice Caitlin’s camera necklace.. she’s a photographer too!}.
While editing this shoot I kept thinking that Caitlin somehow looked like a country music star… “Introducing, Nashville’s newest sensation on the stage… Caitlin…bum bum bum”, yup.. that was what was going through my mind on this shoot. I mean seriously; the gorgeous naturally highlighted blond hair, those beautiful blue eyes, and lovely soft features. She just screams country music to me. Think Carrie Underwood, Leanne Rhimes, or maybe even a little bit of Taylor Swift.. I see it. I see it.
We ended our day out near the Blackstar Canyon trailhead, but not before stopping for this fantastic tractor that was parked on the side of the dirt road. I mean: Thank. You. God! That tractor could seriously not have been more perfect; the oranges with Caitlin’s skin, and her dress and everything. It was beautiful. Magical. Whimsical. I was really proud of Caitlin too- she totally jumped up on that tractor and told it who was boss. No seriously though, Caitlin isn’t really into getting too dirty, but she did for these photos.. and bonus- she did it in heels! What a gal!
Caitlin, every blessing this next year my dear. Wow, that rhymed. Lol. Seriously though, I hope that this next year is fantastic and that you win nationalsWouldn’t THAT be awesome!! And thank you so much for such a fun day and a fun photo-shoot!! Blessings!
