Everyone loves Amber. She reminds me of a blond version of the lead character "Summer" who Zooey Deschanel plays in "500 Days of Summer". Not because she's a heart breaker (although from what I hear many a young man has his on this gorgeous girl), but because things become more popular because Amber wears them or does them. If Amber says that she buys all her clothes from the 99 cent store (do they even sell clothes?), their profits would go up. It's like that. Amber is stylish and hip, with a thrift store meets Anthropologie style that is really all her own, but the best part about her is her incredible kind, smart, and playful attitude. This girl is not only a truly gorgeous young woman (I mean.. EYES!!! Seriously?!), but she has what I would call gorgeous character. Amber doesn't let circumstances get in her way, nor does she back down when faced with insurmountable difficulties, instead she takes things in stride with a lovely, peaceful and genuinely happy attitude. I am impressed with Amber in every encounter and I know she will do incredible things this next year, and for the rest of her life.
Because of Amber's sort of hipster, anthro, thrift-store style, I wanted to take her somewhere that had that sort of feeling. My BFF introduced me to a new little shop a few months ago called Lemonade (the blood orange lemonade is the BEST!) located off of Abbot-Kinney street, which is a super trendy hipster little area in Venice Beach. Of course she also told me I HAD to bring one of my clients there because it is such a cool spot. The street is lined with lots of hip boutique shops, a paperie (it was all I could do to stay out of there!), art galleries, floral design studios, restaurants and even a modern dog store for the discerning pet (NOT kidding!). It was a perfect area to find fabulous backgrounds for my little anthro loving thrift-store hunting hipster. We spent the afternoon exploring the street, oohing and awing as we window shopped and spotted perfect photo spots. Amber had also requested to head to the beach, so our final few minutes were spent playing in the sand on Venice Beach near the pier.
BIG thanks to Bree at the Grand Salon in Brea for hair & makeup styling, as well as to Katy for being a fantastic intern! Hugs all! Amber is crazy photogenic, and seriously couldn't take a bad photo, so ENJOY!!!
